We are one of many CCF Contingents in hundreds of schools all over the UK, offering young people a broad range of challenging, exciting, adventurous, and educational activities. The aim of CCF is to enable the development of personal responsibility, leadership and self-discipline.
Each CCF is an educational partnership between the school and the Ministry of Defence, and a CCF may include Royal Navy/Royal Marines, Army or Airforce sections.
We offer CCF in Third Form-Upper Sixth Form. It's a popular activity and we currently have between 120–150 cadets. They meet weekly as part of a Friday afternoon activity which starts in the School day as an Enrichment activity and then continued into a co-curricular activity after school.
Participating in CCF develops leadership skills, teamwork, self-reliance and a sense of service; for some pupils, it will introduce them to a career in the military. Pupils also enjoy learning the military syllabus and the adventurous training in the Ardeche.
