Alastair is a retired Chartered Surveyor, formerly the director/owner of Rumball Sedgwick Ltd, one of the longest established firms of chartered surveyors in the UK.
With forty years’ involvement in property, Alastair’s expertise encompassed valuations, acquisitions and disposals, planning and development and corporate estate management, in the residential, commercial, ecclesiastical and charity sectors. He was Surveyor to the Diocese of St Albans for 22 years.
Alastair is a former President of St Albans District Chamber of Commerce and the Chair of a local theatre company.
Alastair was at St Albans School from 1974 to 1981. He graduated in Art History from UCL, before training in Land Administration and becoming a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He joined the Board of Governors in December 2010 and is Chair of the Property Committee and Woollam Trustee Company.
