Art

The Art Studios are located within the Aquis Court building and provide a bright and modern working environment for the School's budding artists. Pupils have the opportunity to create both two and three-dimensional artwork using a variety of media with support from skilled staff members. 

We offer GCSE and A Level courses and there are Art Scholarships available for pupils entering the school in the Third Form (Year 9). 

We explore a wide area of practice in our curriculum including:

• Painting and Drawing
• Printmaking (including screen printing, linoprints, etching and collographs)
• Sculpture
• Ceramics
• Critical/Historical Studies

We arrange visits to Galleries for all examination classes. These are usually to London, e.g. the Tate and the National Gallery. Overseas visits for Sixth Formers have included Paris and Amsterdam. We offer a Junior Art Club for First, Second and Third Form (Years 7 to 9), a Senior Club for Fourth and Fifth Form (Years 10 and 11) and also a Sixth Form Club. We also provide Life Drawing Classes to examination groups.
